Lawrence Russel Brewer, 44, is executed in Texas by lethal injection at 6:21 pm. He was one of three white supremacists who dragged a black man named James Byrd in Jasper, Texas. The other murdered was John King who had a lynch negro depicted tattoo. All three joined the Confederate Knights of America while in prison.
